Most of you have heard the story of the South Carolina senator who brought national shame to our state and the Republican Party by hurling racial slurs against the governor; calling her a “raghead”. Well, this senator is seeking reelection.
Not only is Senator Jakie Knotts an embarrassment to our State and the Party, but he is also a leading obstructionist for conservative reform in the SC Senate. He has a long history of blocking sound conservative legislation.
Conservatives across the state are joining the effort to remove Senator Knotts and replace him with a principled, accountable leader. A leader who has the courage to advance bold tax reforms and a leader who has a plan to grow South Carolina’s economy to usher in prosperity. Republicans, Tea Party groups, and Independents across our state have joined forces to target key SC Senate seats. These activists are tired of good conservative reforms passing in the SC House only to die in the SC Senate. The SC senate race that has the state’s most attention is SC Senate District 23. Katrina Shealy has GOP groups and TEA Party groups from every region of the state hosting events for her and offering volunteers to go door-to-door, make phone calls, and helping to raise money for her candidacy.
The momentum is there but Katrina Shealy needs your help to compete with Jakie’s special interest money and the “good ole boy money” he has already received from the SC Senate Caucus. If people all over the state send a small donation to the Shealy for Senate Campaign, Katrina will have what she needs to get her message out and beat Knotts.
This Saturday, March 31st marks a critical deadline for campaign disclosures. This is the most important public financial report for the Shealy for Senate campaign. Lots of small contributions from all over South Carolina will send RINO incumbents a message: conservatives across the state are sticking together to remove RINOs from the SC Senate.
