Midlands Mayors Announce Support for Katrina Shealy Campaign

LEXINGTON, SC – In a strong, unified show of support for their own State Senator – five Midlands Mayors announced their endorsements today of Katrina Shealy in her re-election campaign.
Batesburg-Leesville Mayor Rita Crapps, Lexington Mayor Steve MacDougall, Pelion Mayor Barbara Smith Carey, South Congaree Mayor Danny Jones, and Springdale Mayor Michael Bishop all endorsed Shealy.
“Katrina Shealy is a champion for our area and our people in the State Senate,” said Batesburg-Leesville Mayor Rita Crapps. “Katrina is our hometown hero and always works with our local elected officials and community leaders to ensure our voices are heard in the Legislature. I am honored to endorse her re-election campaign.”
Lexington Mayor Steve MacDougall stressed teamwork in his endorsement.
“I am proud to support Senator Katrina Shealy’s re-election campaign,” said MacDougall. “Senator Shealy is a true teammate for the issues our community faces; and we need to keep her the State Senate, so she can continue to get results for us.”
Shealy proudly welcomed the endorsements.
“I am extremely honored to have the continued support of these great leaders,” said Shealy. “Mayors Bishop, Carey, Crapps, Jones and MacDougall have been great partners over the past few years, and I will continue to work hard with them to do all we can to make our region a better place to live, work and raise a family.”
